Milnrow frames are perfectly suited to stand up to the rigours of the harsh Canarian
sunshine; while the only glazing material that gets Wayne's approval is British Standard,
Kitemarked toughened and laminated glass imported from England. "We've got high standards, and I'm committed to keeping it that way," said Wayne. "We have a reputation for excellence back in the UK; only the best is good enough for our customers there, so
why should they have to accept an inferior service when they relocate to Lanzarote?
"The high summer temperatures here meant we had to do a lot of research into suitable materials before we started our Lanzarote business. After analysing the results we were able to identify the products that would offer long-lasting durability in a tropical climate, and we continue to monitor their performance." Home security is another major issue
concerning prospective customers. And to keep both homeowners and their possessions safe, Milnrow Windows boasts an extensive range of window, door locks. All their uPVC windows and doors have 'internally glazed' frames (the glass is secured internally) to prevent the glass being forced out of the beading from outside. All windows are fitted with a night vent facility, allowing homeowners to firmly secure the window, locked in three positions, whilst leaving a small opening for fresh air to circulate. "The materials we use in Lanzarote are different to the UK - but our commitment to customer care and ethical approach to business remains the same,

"Our job doesn't end when the product
has been fitted though. Cleaning up after
ourselves is an equally important aspect
of the job - apart from new windows, you
won't even know we've been there - and
customers can also rely on our after sales
support service."

" said Wayne. "We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, professional service and that has been rewarded by the customer loyalty we enjoy... several schools in the Manchester area kept coming back to us as they modernise individual departments." Each frame is made-to-measure - there is no such thing as a 'standard size' Milnrow window or door. Richard, who began working for the business as a 15-year-old when he'd accompany fitters on jobs, said: "Frames can be completely bespoke if the customer requests a wholly original design... if it can physically be manufactured, we can supply it! On one Lanzarote apartment complex I worked on recently the customer needed six patio doors - all six were different sizes, even though some differed by just a few millimetres. Milnrow has hundreds of window and door designs to choose from, with classic white and natural-look wood (golden oak and rosewood) being the most asked for finishes. "At many complexes we've become the approved supplier and fitter for patio doors and windows because we're the only company able to provide a finish to match the existing wooden fac;ade of the building. Years of varnishing had created a dark brown appearance that was a perfect match for our rosewood finish.
